Bean when Bean is heading for the park to make a sandwich for his lunch, he wears a long dark green Overcoat with a light green shirt and a dark green tie. In the same episode Bean wears a smoking. Bean when Bean is heading to a fancy restaurant to celebrate his birthday he wears a grey suit with a dark red tie. He also usually wears a digital calculator watch. He is sometimes seen holding a brown suitcase. Occasionally, he will change his outfit (often to suit the scene he is in). Bean is mostly seen wearing a brown tweed jacket, a white shirt, a thin red tie, brown trousers and black shoes. He also tends to hate Irma kissing him, and whenever Irma does this to him, he would usually smudge his cheek. Bean had been a bit kind but he rarely shows it. Bean is also a pain to the Reliant Regal in loads of episodes becoming a running gag in the series. Bean often pretends his teddy is real but he doesn't always treat Teddy nicely. He can sometimes be a gentlemen towards other women but he doesn't show much care to his girlfriend which was proven in many episodes (live-action and animated). He is usually obnoxious, crazy, selfish and sometimes seems stupid. Bean is often portrayed as a childish buffoon. Rowan Atkinson himself has acknowledged that Bean "has a slightly outcast aspect to him". Bean dropping from the night sky in a deserted London street against the backdrop of St. These opening sequences were initially in episodes 2 and 3, and they were intended by the producers to show his status as an "outcast cast into the spotlight". Bean in the animated version of the show The original TV showĪt the beginning of episode 2 onwards, Bean falls from the sky in a beam of light, accompanied by a choir singing Ecce homo qui est faba ( Behold the man who is a Bean). The humor largely comes from his original (and often absurd) solutions to problems and his total disregard for others when solving them, his pettiness, and occasional malevolence. Bean often seems unaware of basic aspects of the way the world works, and the program usually features his attempts at what would normally be considered simple tasks, such as going swimming, redecorating, or going to church. He also doesn't like people taking his things. He's also quite selfish - if someone is doing something he doesn't like, he gets very agitated. Bean will often get confused at the world, not understanding what's going on. His ingenuity often leads him to finding ridiculous and impractical solutions to these problems (such as painting a room by putting fireworks into a paint can). He's been shown in the first episode to have a strong knowledge of trigonometry. Bean rarely speaks, and when he does, it's generally only a few mumbled words, which are in a comically low-pitched voice. He's almost always seen in his trademark tweed jacket and skinny red tie. Bean lives alone in his small flat in Highbury, North London. Again, you just have to see it all to believe it-and it's a hoot.Mr. The bottom line is that Bean is very creative here, VERY selfish and totally clueless. You just have to see it all to believe and appreciate it. The turkey (which is either fake or an ostrich), the carolers and the exchange of gifts with his soon to be ex-girlfriend. Again, I really can't describe it all-you just need to see it. The next act finds Bean at home preparing for tomorrow-which is Christmas day. After making a thorough nuisance of himself here, he goes outside to do a bit of shopping with his girlfriend, directs a band, steals Christmas tree, and lots of other craziness. I won't try to describe all the action here and in the rest of the show, but it's amazing how Rowan Atkinson is able to make so much of just a few stupid props-mainly a nativity set and a few toys. The show begins with Bean at the department store (I assume it's Harrod's). And, like the best of the series, every time you think the show is giving way to sentiment or showing Bean to be a nice guy, there is a twist and he turns out to be a selfish and clueless jerk. While I still think "Do-it-yourself Bean" is the very best show, this one sure comes close and is a delight for the holidays.
